In Brief:
The V2B1 is the primary product of Environment 21. Its standard pre-cast concrete two manhole design is designed to help meet a goal of 80% TSS removal efficiency. The inlet manhole has a tangential mounted inlet pipe that creates a swirl flow pattern, intended to improve flow distribution and reduces turbulence, thereby enhancing sedimentation settling. With proper sizing, the Environment 21 claims an essentially complete removal of sandy sediment. The environment 21 "Center Withdrawal Elbow Pipe" conveys flow to the outlet manhole where floatable debris is retained by using an underflow baffle. Maintenance is facilitated with access openings to all stages and a clear view to the sump.
