MASTEP Evaluation Summary
This product was evaluated in at least one third-party study. See MASTEP Evaluation Summary.
In Brief:
Vegetated filter strips comprised of two different types of grasses (switchgrass and “cool season” blend – i.e. bromegrass, timothy and fescue) are used to remove sediments and nutrients, and promote groundwater infiltration in land lying between cropland and riparian forest land. The filter strips of 3 meter and 6 meter widths are tested for each of the grass types.
